Common questions
The practical bits before you open Discord.
Is the EXD gaming Discord server free to join?
Yes. Joining the EXD Discord and playing on its public game servers does not require a paid membership. Donations and supporter memberships are optional.
Can I enter the Discord immediately?
Yes. There is no application form or staff interview before Discord access. New arrivals must accept the community rules and select their game and interest roles during onboarding.
Which games does EXD support?
EXD runs public servers for Hell Let Loose, Squad, Arma Reforger and War Dogs. Discord roles also cover Battlefield, War Thunder, Rust, Board Games, Dungeons and Dragons, Company of Heroes and World of Warcraft.
How active is the EXD Discord?
Discord reported 13,694 members and 2,813 online on 4 August 2026. These are point-in-time platform counts, so the live totals change throughout the day.
Does EXD run its own game servers?
Yes. EXD runs nine public servers: three Hell Let Loose, one Squad, four Arma Reforger and one War Dogs. Live status covers HLL, Squad and Arma Reforger. The directory has joining details for all four games.
What is the minimum joining age?
Meet Discord's minimum age for your country and accept the EXD community rules. Check the current rules before joining because individual areas or roles may have extra requirements.
How do I find people playing my game?
Select your game roles during onboarding, check the server status and game channels, then join a relevant voice channel or respond to a seeding or event call. Roles keep unrelated game notifications out of your feed.
Can I use EXD to find gaming friends?
Yes, but no community can promise instant friendships. Choose the right roles, join repeated server or voice sessions and get to know the same players. EXD provides the shared space, not automated matchmaking.
